Clifford Andrew Peters Jr.

93, Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. He was born in Indianapolis on November 8, 1919 to Clifford A. Peters Sr. and Ida Josephine Seiler Peters. Cliff worked for Burford Printing for 35 years, before retiring as Foreman of the Press Room. He also worked for St. Jude Catholic Church for many years serving as the supervisor of buildings and grounds. Cliff served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater and was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3660 and the American Legion. Cliff was preceded in death by his wife, Doris H. Peters on June 13, 1997 and is survived by his children, Thomas (Jane), Charles (Ellen), and Robert Peters, Janice Wheat (David), and Suzanne Hostetter (Ronald); 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church, where Cliff was a member. Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. in St. Jude Church. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church.
