David Alan Ericsson Sr.

69, of Wabash, Indiana, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born December 24, 1943 in Spokane, Washington to Earl Eugene and Rose (Rotter) Ericsson.

David was a 1961 graduate of Lemmon High School, Lemmon, South Dakota. He married Elizabeth Ann Marie "Betty" Wolf in Indianapolis, on December 23, 1965. He retired from Navistar International's Indianapolis Plant. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Wabash, and was a former member of the Clayton Library Board in Clayton, Indiana David served in the Indiana National Guard from 1965-1972.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ericsson of Wabash; two sons, Eric (Danielle) Ericsson of Danville, IN, and David Ericsson, Jr. of Wabash; a grandson, Ashton Ericsson of Danville; two sisters, Vickie (Tucker) Kane of Thunder Hawk, SD, and VeRene (Robert) Potter of Lemmon, SD; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Matt Haynes officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Calvary Baptist Church, or the Honeywell House in care of the funeral home.
