David Joseph Cooper

69, Zionsville, passed away January 9, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Our beloved David went home to be with his heavenly father on January 9, 2013, at the age of 69. He was born in Carmel to David Lamar & Edith Lillian Marley Cooper on July 14, 1943. He had work in telecommunications over 44 years, with the last ten years being at St. Vincent's. He had run 15 marathons, over 15 mini marathons, crossed the Grand Canyon in one day and had run up Pike's Peak with his good friend Bob Thompson. David had done extensive traveling, been in all 50 states and most of them more than once. He had visited 6 continents.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lee (Gundersen) Cooper, son Adam Cooper, stepson Chris Glover, Daughter in Law, Tina (Wilkins) Glover, 5 grandchildren Dusty (Daniel) Harmon,

Christina (Jason) Flint, Sloan and Skyler Haywood and Miles Cooper, He also had 4 Great Grandchildren who he enjoyed, Austin & Makenzie Harmon and Alex and Abigail Flint, Sister Karen (Bob) Long of Tuscon, Arizona, 4 nieces, Melinda Ernest of Arizona, Debbie Lovell, Sandra Lovell of Virginia, Robin (Lovell) Dial of Minnesota., 2 nephews, Joseph Taylor of Arizona and Stephen Lovell of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carmen Cooper, his parents, 1 uncle and 4 aunts. David was an active member of Grace Community Church of Noblesville.

The funeral services are at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 14, 2013 at Kercheval Funeral Home, Sheridan, Indiana, with visitation there from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 13. The interment will be at Crown View Cemetery, Sheridan, Indiana.
