David M. Elder

78, Indianapolis, passed away on October 1, 2013. He was born on December 10, 1934 in Indianapolis, to the late Marion and Romena Oehler Elder. David married Judith Adams on June 26, 1960 in Indianapolis and she survives. He was a 1953 graduate of Southport High School. His memberships were Southport Lodge No. 270 F. & A.M., Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and Murat Shrine Railroad Club. He was owner/operator of TeeKay Flower Shop for 40 plus years retiring in 1996. Other survivors are brother, Richard Elder of Kingstree, SC; niece, Kim (Ed) Robinson of Bargersville and nephews, Rick (Beckie) Elder of LaPorte, TX, Doug (Pam) Elder of Palm Bay, FL and Paul Gartin of Indianapolis. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Gartin and brother, Robert Elder. Thanks to friends and relatives for their prayers, St. Francis Nurses, Doctors and St. Francis Hospice. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5 in Singleton Community Mortu ary and Memorial Center , with visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4 in the mortuary. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial gifts have been suggested to Charity of Donor's choice.
