Donald H. Green

82, Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 16, 2013. Born June 16, 1931 in Macon County, TN, he was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Amtrak after 25 years and had worked 27 years at Central States Bridge Company.

Don was a member of Mt. Calvary Evangelistic Center.

Survivors: devoted children, Darlene (Steve) Dailey, Donald E. Green, Marsha L. Metzger, Ronald A. (Kimberly) Green and Martha E. (Tim) Shuper; siblings, Georgia, Damon, Shirley, Bonnie, Earl, Wanda,Roger and JoAnn; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren with two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his sweet wife of 59+ years, Mary Katherine Green; sister, Carolyn Sadler, granddaughter Rhionna and great grandson Kaden.

Visitation: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 19 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home , 1605 S. State Road 135. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the funeral home, with additional visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Burial will be at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery.
