Doris Geraldine "Gerry" Anderson

86, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 28, 2012. She was born September 23, 1926 in Evansville, Indiana to Orville and Colleta (Butcher) Gough. Before she was married she was an auditor for the IRS. Gerry was proud to be a long time Eastsider of Indianapolis and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Women Club and Knights of Columbus Gerry is survived by her children, Mary J. (Steve), Ragsdale, Eileen A. (Larry) Sexson, Kathleen K. ( Russell) West; brothers, Carl (Mary) Gough and Don (Chris) Gough; daughters-in-law, Diane Anderson, Mary Ellen Sexson; grandchildren, Brian (Nancy), David, Doug Ledgerwood, Josh (Stephanie), Nick (Kara) Ragsdale, Nikki (Kenny) White, Brianna, Tyler Sexson, Kaitlyn (Josh) Allison, David West and great grandchildren Dillon, Megan, Madison, Colton, Sam, Marley, Ellie, Todd, Torin, Lilly, Alex and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Anderson, a Pulitzer Prize Winner; children, David O., Susan M. and William M. Anderson; great-grandson, Peyton Ragsdale; brother, Paul Dale Gough. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 2 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the mortuary. Gerry will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was always there to love and support her family. Condolences may be offered at:
