Dwight Herbert Mahin

95, Westfield, Indiana, died April 22, 2012. He was born January 7, 1917 in Manilla, Indiana to Earl Herbert and Acel Dove (Strode) Mahin, both deceased.

He was Assistant Treasurer in Payroll and Personnel for Wabash Life Insurance Company. Mr. Mahin was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was a flight officer and Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving as "Bombardier" in the South Pacific during WWII.

He was a 1934 graduate of Manilla High School and a 1936 graduate of Indiana Business College.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Kercheval Funeral Home , Sheridan, Indiana, with visitation there from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Mattiellen Sedwick in 2003; son, Rodney Dean Mahin and brother, Glenn George Mahin.

Survivors include daughter, Pamela Trumbauer of Noblesville; sister, Edith Loris Von Hoy of Mooresville; grandchild, Stacia (Destry) Watts of Fishers; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Xavier.
