Lady Flossie M. Britt Harris

83, passed from Earth to her Heavenly home on Thursday, October 31, 2013. Flossie was born on February 21, 1930 in Albany, GA, the youngest daughter of Alice Ford Britt and Henry (Sandy) Britt. Flossie retired from the U.S. Post Office in 1990 and was the first lady of Pleasant Union MBC for 32 years, prior to her husband's death (Rev. Charles Harris, Sr.) in 2008.

Flossie was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Wanda Everett; seven brothers, Otis, EJ, Henry, Solomon, Jesse, Curtis, JW and one sister, Maggie Lavant.

Flossie's life and legacy continues with her children, Anna France, Charles Harris, Jr., Melanie Harris and Joseph Everett; grandchildren, Conrey Everett, Erika (Keith) Barkley, Arian (Alana) Everett, Kaila (Brandon) Reed, Kalisha France; great-grandchildren, Noah Barkley, Naima Barkley, Arian Everett, Jr., Aidan Everett; sister, Louise Lavant; nieces; nephews and Pleasant Union MBC family.

Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, November 6 in Pleasant Union MBC, 1202 Eugene Street, with viewing from 10 a.m. until Noon, service starts at Noon. Interment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
