Frances Ekstam Obituary

Frances Clark Ekstam "Fran" Age 91, Greenwood, died January 18, 2005 in Greenwood Village. She was born Jan. 6, 1914 in Des Moines, IA to Charles A. and Edith (Sims) Clark. She married Harold C. Ekstam on June 13, 1942 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1986. She started and worked as a Professor in Physical Therapy for Indiana University School of Medicine for 34 years, retiring in 1980. She received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award in 2000 and the Lucy Blair Award from the American Physcial Therapy Association. Funeral Services: Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home, Franklin. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, IL at 3:00 p.m. Mrs. Ekstam is survived by two nieces, Diane Bathje of Wheaton, IL, Marian Randall in Madison, WI; two great-nieces and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Lakes.
