She was born on October 13, 1942 in Indianapolis to Clarence and Myrtle Wurz. She graduated from Manual High School in 1960, and she married the love of her life, Gerald R. Goudy, on May 18, 1963.

She was a member of the Wilkinson Church of Christ, where she was secretary for many years. She was also a Bible Bowl team sponsor for many years, helping lead her team to a second place finish in the national competition. She spent her life devoted to her family, friends, her church, and especially to her grandchildren, whom she adored.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years; two daughters, Diane Goudy-Wilson (Richard) and Lisa Molwitz (George); grandchildren Jade, Mia and Macy Wilson, and Seth, Hannah and Luke Molwitz. She is also survived by three sisters, Roberta Perkins (James), Judy Wurz, and Sandra Compton (Gene); three brothers; Donald Wurz (Judy), James Wurz ( Kay), and David Wurz (Rita), sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Wurz, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Kenneth and Patricia Jessup and Charles and Sandy Goudy, many nieces and nephews, lifelong childhood friend Phyllis Kindle and dear friend Phyllis Vest.
