John A. Kelley

83 passed away March 7, 2013. He was a resident of Greenwood. He was born January 18, 1930 in Fairmount, Indiana to the late Charles O. and Mabel M. (Sears) Kelley.

He married Jean (Shaffer) on June 5, 2003 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, John C. (Beth) Kelley; daughter, Vicki M. (Joe) Lawrence; step son, Thomas Edwards; step daughters, Bonney L. (Marion) Hoffman, Susan Ennis and Amy Pitts; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Thomas Kelley; and his sisters Juanita Mountjoy and Ruth Arnette.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War.

He retired after working for H.H. Gregg for 20 years and William H. Block for 30 years. During retirement he worked for Hertz Rental Cars.

He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel , 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. Services will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to , 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
