Judith Ann Winters

72, passed away at IU Simon Cancer Center on May 2, 2013, with her children by her side. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 14, 1940 to Rev. Paul and Betty Jordan. In addition to her husband, Rev. Donald L. Winters of 55 years, Judy leaves behind her five children, Susan (James) Phillips, Rev. Donald (Sylvia) Winters, Elizabeth (Rev. Chris) Pero, Monte (Elisha) Winters and Judi (Rev. Tony) Oliver; eight grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Jordan, Emily, Donovan, Cameron, Braeden and Alyssa; a brother, Dick Jordan, and a sister, Arlene Cavaness.

Her family wishes to thank Dr. Patrick Loehrer, Dr. Atilla Nakeeb, Dr. Charles Cornett, aunt Diane Bayes, and all of the Healthcare providers for their wonderful service and support.

Judy's wish was that family and friends celebrate her life rather than mourn her passing.

"She has stepped through the gates of time into a glorious eternity and with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised in corruptible, and we shall be changed..." Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory? 1 Corinthians 15:51-55.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., with services immediately following at Westside Apostolic Church, 1540 W. Ohio St., Indianapolis, IN 46222.
