Kevin Albert Mattingly

born June 14, 1949, Indianapolis, Indiana, died June 15, 2013 Danville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by father, Kevin Albert Mattingly; and mother, Katherine Koch. He was married to Donna Kay (Stewart) on October 4, 1997 at St. Gabriel, Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Donna Kay Mattingly; children, Christina Sue Adams (Brian), Brandi Leigh Correa (Jeremiah); and son-by-choice, Michael Logan Fox; grandchildren, Lilyann Louise Adams, Sarah Grace Adams, Nathaniel Luke Adams, Kendall Leigh Correa, Madelynn Kay Correa; brother, Mark Mattingly (Suzanne); sister, Susie Baker (Billy); and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of North Salem Christian Church, member of the NRA and long-time member of the Buzzards of Indiana. He graduated from Vincennes University and worked as an A&P mechanic for 50 years. He was an Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America and ranked as a Firecrafter. He also served as a volunteer fireman and EMT. He lost his eyesight in 1987 but worked the last 20 years of his career for American Trans Air. He retired in 2006. He had a passion for God and his country. He was an avid stillboard shooter even after losing his eyesight. His motto was "adapt, improvise and overcome". He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and family man.

Calling will be at Porter Funeral Home , North Salem, Indiana on Tuesday, June 18 from 4-8 p.m., with the service at North Salem Christian Church on Wednesday, June 19 at 1 p.m. and burial following at Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
