Leonard Earl Hull

88, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. He was born June 15, 1924 in Hanna, Indiana, to the late Isaac Harvey and Minnie E. (Gibson) Hull.

Leonard graduated from Howe High School. He then graduated from Purdue University in 1950, with an Engineering Degree and was a member of the Marching Band. He had also been a member of the Indianapolis News, News Boys Band. He then served as Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 1695 Engineer Combat Battalion. He retired from IPL in 1989 as a Commercial HVAC Consultant. Leonard was a member of the Prospect Masonic Lodge #714 F. & A.M., the Murat Shrine, the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and a life member of the American Legion Post #300. He served as the President of the Murat Shrine Band in 1994. He was also a member at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Leonard was an avid Colts fan since 1984.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dolores (Rogers) Hull; children, Karen Greene, Tom Hull, John (Pam) Clark, David Clark, Stephen Clark and Annette (David) Probst; sister, Mary Mossen; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Hull and sister, Ethel Meyer. Reverend Lloyd Baugues will conduct services at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2015 S. Arlington, with visitation an hour prior. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 21 in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel . Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
