Levi Houston Breland
82, of Seymour, Missouri, died on Saturday, October 5th, 2013.
He was born to the late Levi and Ruthie Breland, November the 5th, 1930, in New Augusta, Mississippi. He married Rosa Breland in 1954, and they lived together in Indianapolis, Indiana before relocating to Seymour, Missouri in 2011.
Levi was an active member of First Baptist Church of Seymour, and previously Castleview Church of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Levi is survived by his wife, Rosa Breland. He is survived by three children, Jeff Breland of Seymour, Missouri, Greg Breland of Sunrise, Florida and Matt Breland of Ozark, Missouri. He also is survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Levi had a tradition that when at lunch, he would anonymously purchase the meal of someone that appeared in need, a member of military service, an elderly couple, or those with disabilities. Watching from afar, he would receive great enjoyment in watching their reaction and knowing they knew nothing of who provided this kind gesture.
The family is requesting that in lieu of providing flowers for services, those interested parties carry on Levi's tradition of anonymously helping out others.
A private memorial service will be held in Missouri for family, and a subsequent celebration of his life for their friends will be held in Indianapolis at a later date.
