Louis Dean Sloderbeck
86, of Fishers, passed away November 22, 2012. He was born June 23, 1926, in Jay County, IN, to the late Arthur and Nellie Stout Sloderbeck. Dean was a 1944 graduate of Bluffton High School, and received his Bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 1952. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Dean married Violet Lorene Coats, and she preceded him in death December 27, 2011.
Dean was a field representative in the insurance industry for many years, retiring in 1983. He also worked as an auto transporter at Hertz Rental Car at the Indianapolis Airport. He was a Mason since 1954, and a longtime member of Parke Masonic Lodge #8.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castle ton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., with funeral services Thursday at 12:00 noon.
Dean is survived by two sisters, Jean Mowery and Louise Gass; one daughter, Vonda Tracey, her husband Martin; and two grandchildren, Noah and Caitlin.
