Noblesville, IN - Mabel Ann Hoge, born October 20, 1931 at Lutheran Hospital in St Louis, passed away on July 20, 2013. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
The daughter of Mabel Estelle (HUTHSING) and Orion Percival Burkhardt, Ann grew up in Kirkwood, MO with her five brothers and one sister, all who are deceased. She married Wilmer B. Hoge, III (now deceased) on June 14, 1952 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kirkwood. They raised their family in Bradford, PA and then retired to Denver, CO, Naples, FL and Sun City West, AZ.
Ann believed in traditional family values and was a devoted wife and mother. She supported and volunteered for many charities throughout her life, and was a life-long advocate for the Right to Life organization. She also worked many years at the YMCA as a swimming instructor.
Ann leaves behind her five daughters, Teresa Miller, husband Bill (Mansfield, PA), Sallie Hoge (San Luis Obispo, CA), Susan Marzucco (Naples, FL), Kay Miller, husband Mike (Noblesville, IN), Mary Sloan, husband Bill (Canyon Country, CA) and two sons, John Hoge (Pittsburgh, PA) and Dave Hoge, wife Martha (Westminster, CO); grandchildren, Laura, Scott, Amy, Carson, Amber, Nathan, Josh, Mathew, Michael, Isaac, Hayden, Tristan, Spenser, Kelsie, Brooke, Robert, Julia, Ryan, and great grandchildren, Cassidy, Max, Cadence, Anna and Aubrey.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 9 at 11am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Noblesville, IN. Inurnment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN at 2pm. Condolences can be sent to the family at http://www.crownhill.org.
