Michael Ray Fasel
66, Indianapolis, passed away on Nov. 10, 2012. Born Oct. 24, 1946, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He served as a Union Representative and was a machinist at Navistar, retiring in 2007.
An avid fisherman, he enjoyed hunting, camping, bowling and gardening. He was a member of Community Church of Murphy's Landing; and had coached baseball and softball at Southport Little League.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Penny (Reed) Fasel; children, Mike (Mellisa) Fasel, Mark (Ruth) Fasel, Michelle (Phillip) Perkins, Melissa (Phil) Moran; mother, Virginia A. (Dickson) Fasel; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dan (Margaret) Fasel, Jennifer (Bill) Moore and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Fasel.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 in G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, with the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in the funeral home.
