Neila "Nellie" Prato Capello
99, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2013 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The daughter of the late Domenick and Maria Prato, Neila was born on December 6, 1913 in Russellton, Pa. She was a 1931 graduate of New Kensington High School. Neila lived in Russellton until 2004 when she relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana to live with her son, William.
Neila had been a parishioner of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church for over 90 years and was a member of the Rosary Society. In Indianapolis she was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. An avid bowler, she was honored by the state of Indiana as the oldest female bowler in the state in 2009. Neila loved playing Bridge and "500" and looked forward to playing cards with family and friends. Each of her sons played high school football and she was a member of the West Deer High School Football Booster's Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Americus S. Capello, her parents, her brother Naldo, her daughter-in-law M. Louise, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She is survived by her three sons, Dr. William N. Capello (Georgia) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. John A. Capello (Jean) of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania,and David D. Capello (Amy) of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Friday, January 25, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home , 179 Starr Rd, Russellton, Pennsylvania. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Russellton. Nellie will be laid to rest next to her husband Americus at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery, Frazer.
