Rickey Brumbarger

54, of Dugger, IN and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home in Dugger. He was born on July 25, 1958 in Indianapolis, the son of John Brumbarger and Evelyn Stookey. Rickey liked fishing and Union High School football. He also liked to watch the Indianapolis Colts and Pacers. Rickey was an active member of the Dugger Coal Fest Committee and was also active in other community activities and events. Rickey graduated from Southport High School in Indianapolis in 1978. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a warehouse worker in Indianapolis. Rickey was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one son, Justin Brumbarger (Brandi) of Sullivan; three sisters, Carolyn Settles (Bill) of Dugger, Janice Beck (David) of Indianapolis, and Chris Mahoney of Lansing, IL; five grandchildren, Justin, Sierra, Jalee, Jayla, and Kruz; one surviving aunt, Marge Klave; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Buddy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services at 1 p.m. in Flanner and Bu chanan - Washington Park East , 10722 E. Washington Street. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the .
