Virginia Beatrice Davis

Also known as "Ginger" to all who knew and loved her passed away unexpectedly in Rock Hill, SC on December 17, 2013. Born on August 16, 1945 in Marion, NC to John David Cole Sr. and Beatrice Fay Fields, she was preceded in death by both of her parents. Ginger is survived by her husband of 43 years, Patrick Gavin Davis, daughters Kathleen "Kate" Davis and Laurie Davis, son Christopher Davis married to Melinda, and four grandchildren, Camille, Samantha, Benjamin and Olive Davis. Ginger, was the youngest of five children, and was preceded in death by her brothers Phillip and Charles. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers, John David Cole, Jr. married to Charlotte, and George Cole, as well as cherished friends and extended family.

Ginger was raised in Indianapolis, IN and graduated from Washington High School. In 1970, she married Patrick, the love of her life, and the couple moved to Southern California and eventually settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2009, the duo moved to Rock Hill, SC to be closer to their daughter, Kate.

The Davis family will receive family and friends Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Conkle Funeral Home in Speedway , Indiana. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Floral Park Cemetery on Monday, December 23, 2013.
