Mrs. Waneda Baker
93, Indianapolis, passed away on November 20, 2013. Mrs. Baker was born on February 3, 1920, in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Theodore and Daisy Bowman, Sr. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Rev. Robert Baker on June 19, 1939. She was the epitome of an Elect Lady being married to a Pastor of several churches; she served each congregation with grace, faith, and humility. Mrs. Baker also served in the leadership position for the South Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters; Linda Hawkins (Thomas), Jeanetta Moore, JoAnn Crain (Thomas J.) Judy Thomas (Michael); two sons, Albert Baker (Teresa), and Robert Baker (Patricia); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. On Saturday, November 23, 2013 visitation will be from 10 a.m. until Noon in Barnes United Methodist Church, 900 W. 30th Street, with services starting at Noon. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Stuart Mortuary .
