Warren Lee Mason

96, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He was born on November 13, 1916 in Melrose, Iowa to Clarence Vernon and Minnie M. (Davis) Mason. Warren was a graduate of Russell High School in Russell, Iowa and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He worked as a foreman at Allison Transmission for over 30 years and was a Life Member of the Indiana Waterworks Association. Warren was also a longtime member of Chapel Rock Christian Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge #669 and led over 300 Stonecroft Friendship Bible Coffees. He loved driving new Buicks and spending time with his family. Warren is survived by his children, Marsha (David) Bridgeforth Miller, Phillip (Carol) Mason, Rick (Patty) Beavers; son-in-law, Elzie (Wendy) Wymer; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a very special niece, Maxine Faust of Windom, MN. Warren was preceded in death by his spouse, Donna Marjorie (Jeffries) Mason; daughter, Ruth Anne (Mason) Wymer; and 4 brothers. Funeral services for Mr. Mason will be held at Chapel Rock Christian Church on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 6 p.m., with visitation 2 hours prior. A private entombment will take place at a later date at Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Chapel Rock Christian Church.
