Judith Ann Morley Barrett

75, of Indianapolis IN, passed on Wednesday August 10, 2011 in Indianapolis at the St. Vincent Hospice Center. Judy was born on July 12, 1936 in Indianapolis IN, the daughter of Joseph Michael Morley and Florence Mary Wilhelm Morley.

Judy was a retired RN/Nurse Practitioner. In her early years of nursing, Judy provided Mid-Wife services in Pensacola Florida and rural Beaufort South Carolina. Judy spent thirty years working at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, retiring in 1990 as Senior Vice President of Nursing and Patient Services. Judy's business endeavors included being one of the original owners of WTLC 105.7 FM in Indianapolis, and one of the original shareholders and developers of Midwest National Bank in Indianapolis. After her retirement, Judy provided consulting services to a number of medical practices and institutions.

Judy is survived by her daughters Kathleen Ann Barrett of Indianapolis and Dr. Deirdre Ellen Barrett (Jonathan Danziger) of Brooklyn NY, her sisters Sister Mary Morley SP of Cincinnati OH, and Ellen Morley Matthews (David) of Indianapolis, and grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Klinefelter of Indianapolis and Leo Joseph and Nes David Danziger of Brooklyn NY.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday August 13, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 North Central Avenue, with calling at the church beginning at 9:00 am. Following Mass there will be a Celebration of Judy's Life in the lower level of the Rectory. Final services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Judy's name to the Sisters of Providence at or directly to the Sisters of Providence, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods IN 47876.
