Forst D. Fuller
Age 97, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, July 06, 2013.
Born April 25, 1916 in Stroh, Indiana, he was the son of Russell H. and Kitty (Forst) Fuller. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from DePauw University in 1938 and his Masters & PhD from Purdue University in 1953. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during WWII.
Forst retired from DePauw University, where he had served as a Professor of Zoology from 1947 to 1991. He was a Master Gardner and a member of the Rotary Club; Elks Lodge #1077; Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity; American Legion Post #58; and the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his daughters, Melinda (John) Mayhall of Toronto, Canada and Lucinda Guevara of Grapevine, TX; a stepson, Dr. David (Barbara) Haines of Warsaw, IN; 11 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two nephews, Mike Fuller of Louisville, KY, and Richard Flint of Greencastle; and two nieces, Sherri Griffis of Rushville, and Barbara Flint of Greencastle.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Louise (Beem) Fuller in 1953 and Leota (Mullins) Haines Fuller in 2002; a sister, Oma Ruth Flint; stepson, Phil Haines; and a granddaughter, Erin Fulton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Rev. Mark David Haines officiating. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service on Tuesday, July 9th at the funeral home.
