Claude V. Acton

87, of Indianapolis, formerly of Oxon Hill, Maryland, passed away January 31, 2014. He was born June 12, 1926, in Washington, D.C. Claude served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was employed with the Naval Research Lab as a Technical Photographer for 40 years, retiring in 1986.

Claude was a past member of St. Ignatius and St. Columba Catholic Churches. He loved his family, hunting dogs, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel , 9900 Allisonville Rd. with funeral services Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Claude is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Loraine Acton; sons, Mark (Kathy) and Thom (Numtarn) Acton; and grandchildren, David, Ross and Tatum Acton.
