Harold R. Phillips

84, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 13, 2014. He was retired from the State of Indiana, working as a Physical Plant Engineer Supervisor for both Central State Hospital in Indianapolis and New Castle State Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, IN. He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Carolyn Jeffries, Russell Phillips, Richard Phillips, Robert Phillips, Rebecca Zimmerman; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Flanner and Buchanan - Speedway , with visitation there on Sunday, March 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery, New Castle, IN, following the services.
