James E. Perdue

76, Indianapolis, passed away May 5, 2014. Born June 26, 1937 in Tompkinsville, KY, he retired from White Castle after 43 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ruth Ann. They were married 52 years until her passing on January 19, 2010. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Lester and Bill Perdue and parents, Bart Perdue and Letha Frances (Scott) Carter. He will be loved and missed by his son, Greg (Robin) Perdue; two grandsons, Eric (Kelli) Perdue, Nathan Perdue; two great granddaughters, Kendall and Ella Perdue; great grandson, Eli Perdue; and sister, Emogene Turner.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7 in G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 South State Road 135. The Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 in the funeral home, with additional visitation one hour prior at Noon. He will be laid to rest at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the family at:
