Valeria "Val" Colosanti
83, passed on to eternal life May 8, 2014 in Indianapolis, IN.
Val was born October 27, 1930 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Fred E. and Florence Heineman Freeman.
Val graduated from Youngsville High School in 1948 and Edinborough State College in 1950 with a degree in commercial art. She worked as the secretary for Laborers' Local #600 in Jamestown, NY for many years.
She was married May 25, 1950 in Jamestown, New York to Leonard Colosanti, who preceded her in death in 1970. While residing in Jamestown, Val was a long-time member of St. Johns RC Church.
Val is survived by her son, Nicholas (Jocelyn) Colosanti of Wake Forest, North Carolina; daughter, Linda (James) Trippi of Indianapolis, Indiana; and grandchildren, Brian Trippi (Indianapolis), John Trippi (Iowa City) and Kimberly Trippi (Indianapolis.)
Val will be remembered as a very loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loyal, kind and generous friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends at Crestwood Village North, Indianapolis, where she was an active participant in the book club, exercise class and many social activities. Val enjoyed the beauty of nature, reading, listening to music, and chatting with family and friends. Val's friendly manner, genuineness and charming giggle will be remembered so fondly.
A mass of the resurrection will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Saturday May 24th at 9 a.m. followed by a reception in the church. Burial will follow in Jamestown, New York at a later time.
