Carl R. Lindstrom

Of Indianapolis, was born on March 7, 1927 to Charles Laurence and Elizabeth (Young) Lindstrom, passed away on June 5, 2014. He attended IPS School #41 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1945. Carl was married to Martha Roberta Elliott (deceased). They were married 38 years. Together they had three children, Marilyn Tucker, Peter (wife, Christine) Lindstrom and Jeffrey (wife, Jan) Lindstrom; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Carl was a member Tall Wood Community Church. He was a 50-year member of Southport Masonic Lodge, a Thirty-Second Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Carl was a life-long musician, playing with the Athanaeum Orchestra and the Scottish Rite Orchestra. He also played with the Vonnegut, Sahara Grotto, Allison and the Greater Greenwood Community Bands. He supported the Boy Scout Band of Indianapolis for more than 20 years. After retirement from 35 years as a tool and die maker at Western Electric, Carl volunteered at St. Francis Hospital for another 25 years. Carl was an avid gardener and photographer.

Calling will be in Little & Sons Funeral Home in Beech Grove from 3 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Mon., June 9 and from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tues., June 10 prior to the service.
