Rosemary Catherine Pitman English

Indianapolis, passed away on June 8, 2014 following a short illness. She was born on October 5, 1934 in Clinton County, Indiana to Joseph and Kathryn (Burkhalter) Pitman. Rosemary graduated from Lafayette Jefferson H.S., then from Lafayette School of X-ray. A registered x-ray technician, she retired from Northwest Radiology Network following 27 years of employment.

Rosie enjoyed traveling, gardening and cooking. Her most treasured interests were quilting and embroidery, including making quilts to present to wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center. Her biggest love was for the special dogs in her life.

Surviving Rosemary are her three daughters, Celeste Berry, Sheri (husband Richard) Haviza, Mary Ann (husband Chris) Ettner; nieces; nephews; and her beloved dog, Missy. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sam Pitman and Barbara Leslie; and son-in-law, Gil Berry, Jr.

Visitation will be at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. until noon, and funeral service at noon. Following the service, there will be a short graveside service with burial at Whiteman Cemetery in Michigantown, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society or St. Vincent Hospice.
