Dwight A. Miller "Pete"

81, of Indianapolis, passed away June 12, 2014. On December 16, 1932 he was born to the late Holly and Eva Miller in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Dwight was a 1950 high school graduate of Warren Central. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1952-1954. He retired from Western Electric in 1986. He was an active member of the Cumberland United Methodist Church, Riley Wranglers Square Dance, Telephone Pioneer's, and he was an avid bowler.

Dwight is survived by the love of his life, Shirley Miller of Indianapolis; his sons, David Miller of Indianapolis, Keith Miller of Indianapolis; his daughter, Cindy (Mark) Wagner of New York; his two granddaughters, Haley (Wayne) Hayden, Hannah Wagner both of New York; his brothers, Larry (Linda) Miller of Fountaintown; Frank Miller of California; his sisters, Ruth Clay of Mooresville; Jeannette Metzger (John) of North Carolina, sister-in-law, Sheila Miller of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Miller and brother-in-law Robert Clay.

Services have been entrusted to Hendryx Mortuary . Visitation will be held at our Cumberland Chapel on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 2-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
