Lester LeCompte Jr.

92, of Plainfield, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Tuesday June 24, 2014. Lester was born June 6, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Lester Sr. & Bonnie LeCompte. Lester was an avid sports fan, loved reading, and fishing. Lester was a master sergeant in the United States Armed Forces fighting in World War II . He was a retired lieutenant from the State of Indiana Boys School, he was also employed with Eli Lilly as a pharmaceutical representative. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; sons, Allen (Pat) Erwin, Lester LeCompte, Woodrow (RaeJean) LeCompte, and Shane LeCompte; daughters, Linda Wright, Lois (Bob) Dalton, Barbara (Malcolm) Duff, Bonnie LeCompte, Leslie (Jon) Hannell; siblings, Bob LeCompte and Mary Meyers. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of friends and other relatives. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2014 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home Memorial Chapel . Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 1, 2014 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
