Stephen V. Faulkenberg Obituary

Stephen V. Faulkenberg

66, passed away June 26, 2014. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on January 15, 1948. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; daughters, Carly and Aubry; father, Vance; two brothers, David (Corliss) and Jim; one sister, Wauneta; eleven nieces and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ila Faulkenberg. Steve loved spending time with family and friends and was known for his easy-going nature and ready laugh. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and hunting. He had a sense of adventure that was exhibited by his participation in snow skiing, scuba diving, flying lessons, skydiving, and motocross racing. He loved being outdoors and was especially happy when working in his yard. Steve was pleased to serve with volunteers from Southport Presbyterian Church in their food ministry at Roberts Park Church. He found great joy in the company of his daughters with whom he valued time spent talking and working on various projects. Steve was a 1967 graduate of Southport High School and earned his degree in Electronic Technology from Indiana Vocational Technical College, Mallory Tech Division in 1969. He was a Service Technician at Loy Instrument, Inc. where he was recently semi-retired, working three days per week. He took pride in all he did. The family would like to express its thanks to the many friends who have showered us with their tender care and to the staff at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home for their respectful services. Friends are invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at University Heights United Methodist Church, 4002 Otterbein Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, at the intersection of Otterbein and Hanna Avenue on the campus of the University of Indianapolis.
