Bruce L. Ahnafield
74, of Camby, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2014. He was born October 23, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late George and Alvada Ahnafield. An avid race fan, he sponsored his own teams. He also loved woodworking. Bruce was a navigator in the Air Force, patrolling the northern Artic Circle. After being honorably discharged, he became an electrician. He then founded Ahnafield Corporation in 1968. In the early 1970's, Bruce made a commitment to the search for mobility solutions for the independence of the disabled. He developed standards for structural modifications, steering, brake, accelerators, and secondary accessory controls. He was a member Chapel Rock Church.
His loving wife of 22 years, Lana, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Sharon Sparks and Luann Hornung; sons, Jeff (Sandy), Bryce (Heather), and Brandon (Christina) Ahnafield; daughter, Kyle (Steve) Squires; step-sons, Mike (Sandi) Fink and Mitchell (Stacey) Fink; grandchildren, Alan, Austin, Alex, Annasophia, Madison, Brooklynn, Caedon, Riley, Jessica, Clayton, Cole, Clint, Mark, Ayreka, Dana, Allie, Shelby, Haylee and great-grandchildren, Raylee, Jaxson, and Lilly.
