Raymond Eugene Osburn

85, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was born November 6, 1928 to the late Olla and Mayme Osburn. Ray was a 1946 graduate of Cathedral High School, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a 1959 graduate of Marian College. He was employed 41 years at Eli Lilly and Company. Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Wassel Osburn; his children, Terence (Marilyn) Osburn, Karen (Larry) Woods, Sharon (Harold) Boldt, Susan (Daniel) Jahn, and Patricia (John) Stewart; his sister, Catherine (Don) Dufek; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His fifth great grandchild is due in October. In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either The Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Augustine Home for the Aged, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260 or St. Mark Catholic Church, 535 E. Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
