Marian J. Worrell

104, of Danville, died July 10, 2014. Marian was born Aug. 21, 1909 to the late William Edward and Ida (Toon) Joyce. She was a 1927 graduate of Amo High School, and received a BS degree from Butler University. Marian married the late Fred Worrell in 1937. She taught school in the Clayton, Amo, and Danville schools, retiring in 1975. Marian was an active member of the Danville Christian Church, her Hendricks County Community, and enjoyed her farming life as well. While serving others, Marian loved her family, spending time in her garden, and still found time to read and sew. Service: 11 a.m., Sat. July 19 in the Danville Christian Church, with visitation there from 4-8 p.m. Fri, July 18. Burial: Danville South Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Mary Ann (Al) Plahitko - Danville, Phil (Kitty) Worrell - Johnson City, TN., John (Linda) Worrell - Brimfield, MA.; and several grand and great grandchildren.
