Charles Edward Genter

82, of Mooresville, passed away July 22, 2014. The son Claude L. and Frieda M. (Vineyard) Genter, Charles was born Jun 19, 1932 in Equality, Illinois. He attended Ben Davis High School and served with the U.S. Army. Charles was a member of Eternal Life Baptist Church, sung bass for the Identifers Quartet for many years, member of The Gideons where he spoke in many churches. He retired from the Sheet Metal Union Local 20. Survivors: stepson, Gerald Bailey; sisters, Velma J. Hughes and Linda W. Walker; two grandchildren. Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Christine V. (Nuckles) Genter; stepdaughter, Kathy Bailey; and sister, Wanda Genter. Services 12:00 p.m. July 28, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
