Jerry D. Martin

72, of Indianapolis, passed away August 30, 2014. He was born October 1, 1941 to the late Everett R. and Lorine Jones Martin. Jerry was a 1959 graduate of Warren Central High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University in 1966. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was employed in Provider Relations, Education and Product Development for Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield. Following retirement, he became an entrepreneur, including the ownership of Castleton Trophy & Gifts.

Jerry was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Mystic Tie Lodge #398 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, York Rite and the Murat Shrine.

Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary A. Martin; children, Kellee Peek and Jim Martin, and their mother, Linda Harley Martin; grandchildren, Megan Moore, Madisen Martin, Cross and Laney Peek; brother, Lauren Martin (Melissa Newton); nephews, Benjamin and Evan Martin; two step-children; and one step-granddaughter.
