Dr. Lisa Ann Thompson Age 42 years, of Fishers, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2005. She was born June 7, 1962 in Indianapolis to Dr. Normand and Magdalene Townley. Lisa graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1980 and then graduated Cum Laude from Depauw University in 1984. In 1989, she received her Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from Indiana University School of Medicine and then completed her residency in Pediatrics at Riley Hospital in 1992. After her residency, Dr. Lisa Thompson entered a private practice of Pediatrics, and she became a Board Certified Pediatrician that same year. She was affiliated with Noblesville Pediatrics and moved to Fishers Pediatrics in 1997. She currently was a staff member at Riverview Hospital. Dr. Lisa Thompson was a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Hamilton County Medical Society. She was member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and a lifelong member of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church. Dr. Lisa is survived by her husband of 19 years, David P. Thompson; daughters, Kylie, Halie, Courtney, and Maggie Thompson; mother-in-law, Darlene Thompson; parents, Dr. Normand T. and Magdalene M. Townley of Indianapolis; one brother, Steven T. Townley, wife Marianne, of Indianapolis; three sisters, Rhea M. Trowbridge, husband Dana, of Mishawaka, IN, Amy S. Townley of Indianapolis, and Ann M. John, husband Layton, of Pendleton, IN; three nephews, Ryne, Collin, and Evan; and four nieces, Andrea, Kati, Megan, and Riley. Visitation for Dr. Lisa Thompson will be Wednesday, April 20 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 5233 E. 79th St., Indianapolis, with funeral services Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor Paul Borg will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Dr. Lisa Thompson at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana to meet the rehabilitation needs for the brain-injured patient.
