William M. Curry, Sr.
age 74, of Indianapolis, passed away August 8, 2011. He was a graduate of Rosenwald High School in Webster County, Kentucky, and he attended Kentucky State University. In June of 1957, he joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in April 1960. He was also a 32nd degree Mason at the Prince Hall Indianapolis Chapter. In May 2003, William retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 44 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise L. Clark; sons, William M. Curry, Jr., Duane L. Curry; step-son, LaDarryl Jennings; step-daughter, Debra A. Jennings; brother, James C. Curry; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth M. Curry; and his son, Warren C. Curry.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20 in the Chapel of Peace at Lavenia, Smith & Summers Home for Funerals with calling from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
