Aristotle N. "Si" Siakotos

83, passed away October 31, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born in Dedham, MA to the late Nicholas and Demetra (Broama) Siakotos.

He graduated from U-Mass and earned a PhD from Cornell University. Si was a professor of Pathology since 1968 at the Indiana University School of Medicine, working in neurogenetic diseases.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; 4 children, Michael, Ellen and Christine Siakotos, Catherine (Gary) Emmitt; grandchildren, Nick, Alex, Stephanie, Kathryn and Ronnie; 1 great-granddaughter; siblings, Kay Conkling, Helen Gavrilles, Michael Siakotos; numerous nieces and nephews.

Si was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Siakotos.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassion and care showed to Si at Clare Bridge of Carmel and by AseraCare Hospice during his stay with Alzheimer's Disease.

Funeral service will be Thursday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
