Annabelle Halliday Foust
83, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on March 4, 2012 due to complications of cancer in St. Vincent's Hospice. She was born on October 7, 1928. She will always be remembered and admired by her family and friends for her quick wit and sense of humor.
Annabelle was born to Lois and Everett Halliday of Muncie, Indiana. She attended Indiana University. On September 3, 1950, she married Omer H. Foust. They were married for 52 years, and had one daughter, Julianne. Annabelle was an avid gardener, tennis player, golfer, and bridge player. She also shared a great love for her husband's alma mater of Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where the family resided for many years. She was a member of St. Margaret's Hospital Guild, and on the Altar Guild at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Near and dear to her were numerous charitable and philanthropic endeavors in the community. Most recently, she was a volunteer for St. Vincent's Carmel Hospital.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Omer. She is survived by her sister Janet Ervin, daughter Julianne Foust Baughman and son-in-law Steven Baughman, grandchildren Taylor Baughman and Grant Baughman, and three nephews.
A Holy Eucharist celebrating Annabelle's life will occur on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. There will be no calling hours before or after the funeral. An additional celebration of Annabelle's life will follow immediately thereafter at Hollyhock Hill Restaurant 8110 N. College Ave. Indianapolis, IN.
