Antonia Teresa "Toni" Brizzi
66, of Indianapolis, passed away May 28, 2012. She was born March 16, 1946, in Staten Island, NY, to the late Giocomo "Jack" and Eva Russo. Toni attended Franklin K. Lane High School in Brooklyn, NY. She was a ballroom dance instructor at Arthur Murray Studio and worked for the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. After moving to Indianapolis in 1976, she was employed by American Senior Communities, including time as the Director of Nutrition at Clearwater Commons.
Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers- Castleton Chapel , 9900 Allisonville Rd.
Toni is survived by her son, Carl (fiancé Kimberly); daughter, Michele; five grandchildren, Catherine, Ava, Emily, Lauren, and C.J.; two soon to be step-grandchildren, Cooper and Haley; sisters, Anna Ligotti and Maria Mawhirt; brother, Caesar (MaryAnn) Russo; nephew, Michael (Tonya) Ligotti; great-nephew, Michael; and great-niece, Stephanie.
The family wishes to thank all the staff and employees of the The Forum, St. Vincent's and St. Vincent Hospice; especially her compassionate oncologist, Stephen Schultz.

Toni would ask, in her wonderful Brooklyn accent, that you 1) check in on your relationship with Christ and make sure it's where it should be; 2) Kiss your kids and grandkids and tell them you love them; 3) Ask for forgiveness, and grant it; and 4) Trim your chicken as thoroughly as she would - use scissors if you have to.
