Don B. Blankenship
age 74, Brownsburg, passed away July 22, 2012. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea. He was a retired Indianapolis Fire Department firefighter and a member of the Indianapolis Retired Firefighters Assoc. He was a master fish breeder and a member of the Circle City Aquarium Club. An avid golfer, he had achieved professional status in the senior PGA. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Blankenship; and brother, James Blankenship. Survivors include his mother, Ruby Blankenship Longworth; sister, Marsha (Harold) Ewick; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, July 28 at Matthews Mortuary , Brownsburg, with visitation there from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. Sorry for your loss. Don was one of the good guys. Met him on the golf team in 1954. He was good to a nothing freshman, and always a he'll of a lot of fun! A life well lived, his family should be proud of him.
