Randy E. Fields

55, lost his battle with cancer at home with his wife by his side on the morning of December 3rd. Randy was born on May 16, 1957 in Chicago. He was the son of Helen Nuckels and the late Frank Fields. He grew up in Avon with his brother, Gary and sisters, Cindy and Anita. He was a 1975 graduate of Avon High School. He married his childhood neighbor and the love of his life, Mary (Wheeler) Fields on September 13, 1983 and had four children, Brooke, Brittany, Jake, and Luke. He worked side by side with his brother, Donnie Matthews at Rays Trash Service as the Head Supervisor for 43 years. He was a dedicated member at Mary Queen of Peace in Danville.

He loved to watch sports, especially Notre Dame Football, IU Basketball, and the Colts. He enjoyed spending time with his family, they were his life. Randy was a proud, devoted husband and father and was adored by his grandchildren. He was a hardworking man, and often a man of little words, but loved by so many. He supported his children through everything they did. We were all blessed by his example of commitment to family, work and the unending love he expressed throughout the years. His family is a direct reflection of his character because he taught all of us integrity, honesty and the value of hard work.
