Thomas P. Moriarty
81, passed away on January 17, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he graduated from Cathedral High School in 1949, Indiana University in 1953 and Indiana University School of Law in 1969. Thomas was a member of the Indiana Bar Association (retired), St. Barnabas Catholic Church (founding member), Knights of Columbus Council 3660 (life member) and Central Indiana Mensa. Returning to Indianapolis after graduation, Thomas spent the next 20 years as a pharmaceutical representative. He retired in 1973 to open a private law practice which he maintained until 2003. Thomas is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Sue; children, Steven T. (Nancy) Moriarty, Kerry T. Moriarty, Daniel T. (Melinda) Moriarty, Patricia M. (Thomas) Janitz, John T. Moriarty, Joan M. (Jay) Tutino; brother, Patrick F. Moriarty; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Eleanor M. Moriarty; brother, Dr. John R. Moriarty and infant son, Sean T. Moriarty. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Saint Barnabas Catholic Church.
