Charles A. Bremer

82, of Indianapolis, passed away February 23, 2013. He was born August 14, 1930, in Indianapolis to the late Albert D. and Mayme Snavely Bremer.

Charles was a graduate of Warren Central High School, Class of 1948. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing during the Korean War. He married Jane Copp Bremer, June 15, 1957.

Charles worked as a plumber and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local # 440, retiring in 1993. He was an avid restorer of antique automobiles, a member of the Circle City Corvair Club and the Model A Ford Club of Indianapolis. He enjoyed his retirement by traveling, attending car conventions and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St.

Charles is survived by his sons, Michael (Melissa), Scott (Jane), Darren (Susan), Bradley (Sheri), Jeffrey (April) and Patrick (Jennifer) Bremer; grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, Amanda, Stephanie, Sarah, Preston, Wesley, Jonathan, Elizabeth and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Jameson, and Laila; and a sister, Virginia Overton.

Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Bremer in 1986, a daughter, Samantha and a sister, Josephine Taylor.
