Dennis L. Thompson
Died suddenly in his home in Indianapolis on February 27. 2013. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 30, 1945 to Adelbert and Marilyn (Middleton) Thompson. He grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Ft. Wayne North Side High School, where he played football and was class president. He graduated from Indiana University in 1968, where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He was a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch and Paine Webber in South Bend, IN, where he lived for 20 years. He enjoyed skiing in the winter and sailing in the summer and driving his 1966 Austin Healey that he restored himself.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard. He is survived by his children, Kimberly McCourt, Matthew Owen Thompson; brothers, Larry Thompson, Randy Thompson and grandchildren, Spencer McCourt, Reis McCourt, Duncan McCourt.
Calling will be held on Tuesday, March 5 in the Crown Hill Cemetery Gothic Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by funeral service.
