Herbert G. Guelden

92, of Greenwood, went to be with his Lord on April 5, 2013. He was born on August 13, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN to Peter and Centa Schned Guelden. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. As an avid golfer, he accomplished "3" hole-in-ones! He was a member of the American Legion Post # 125 in St. Petersburg, Florida and the Knights of Columbus in Indianapolis, IN. He was a process engineer at Allison Division of GM for 40 years. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy(Donald) Miller; 7 grandchildren, Mike (Theresa) Taylor, Chris Taylor, Rick (Wendy) Taylor, Tony (Lori) Taylor, Angela (Dan) Norverske, Jason Guelden and Joe Guelden; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Guelden; son, Ronald Guelden; brother, Curt Guelden and great-grandson, Evan Taylor. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013 in G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home , 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S.
